The Mission in New Caledonia started on May 5th 1983, feast of St. Pius V. For 19 years, they had the Mass only once every six months! Yet they persevered, and now have a visit every two months.
Recently on the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 8th September 2004, an agreement for purchase of a land was signed, and completed the following month: this is a wonderful development for our apostolate which will allow the building of a priory, a chapel, a retreat-centre, etc. and later a school...
The name of the mission is now:
Mission Saint Pie V
